A needle-felted Magpie, sculpted in wool and set on a vintage-style wooden bobbin.

This small bird sculpture is made by hand using natural wool fibres, with glossy black plumage, a long tail, and the distinctive silhouette that makes the Eurasian magpie one of Britain’s most recognisable birds. It is mounted on a wooden bobbin base, giving the piece a quiet studio feel and making it easy to display on a shelf, mantel or small table.

Each Grey Wren Studio bird is individually sculpted, so small variations in shape, markings and expression are part of the finished character.
